Wayne State Defeats SVSU, 8-1

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – In its final regular season conference match, the WSU women’s tennis team earned a much need 8-1 victory at Saginaw Valley State Saturday morning (Oct. 12). The win ends the Warriors’ four-match conference losing streak and puts its record at 7-6 overall and 5-6 in GLIAC action while the Cards fall to 4-6.

Wayne State swept all six singles flights, with just one going to a decisive third set.

The Warriors duo of Natalya Natyshak and Leila Armin continued their run at perfect with an 8-2 win. They remain undefeated at 14-0 in No. 1 doubles action and now get ready to travel to the 2002 Omni Hotels Small College Nationals on Oct. 17-20 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
