Natyshak/Armin Finish Eighth At ITA Championships

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Wayne State’s Natalya Natyshak (Jr., Windsor, Ont./Vincent Massey S.S.) and Leila Armin (Fr., Troy, Mich./Troy Athens) wrapped up play in the Omni Hotels/Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Small College Championships by losing both matches on Friday, Oct. 18.

The Warriors lost 8-2 to Zorana Stefanovic and Nevs Barbera of Northeastern State in the consolation semifinals. Then, in the seventh-place match, Slippery Rock’s Ella Reilly and Kelly Anderson defeated Armin and Natyshak 9-7 in WSU’s closest match of the tournament

The losses drop Natyshak/Armin’s record to 14-3 on the season.

Natyshak and Armin’s appearance was the first ever for the WSU women’s team at the ITA Championships.
