Warriors Voted Tied-for-Third
In Preseason Poll

The Wayne State University women's hockey team finished in a third-place tie with Findlay in the inaugural College Hockey America Women's preseason coaches poll released on Oct. 1 by the conference office.

Niagara and Mercyhurst both earned two first-place votes and one second for the 2002-2003 CHA Women's preseason coaches poll.

Niagara, Mercyhurst Receive Votes In National Poll
Niagara, coming off a third-place finish in last year's NCAA Tournament, received 14 votes in the USCHO Division I Women's Preseason poll, while Mercyhurst wasn't far behind with 10 votes.

CHA Women's Play Gets Underway Oct. 4
Mercyhurst takes on Bemidji State at home on October 4 and 5. Wayne State host Guelph on October 11-12 for its second and third exhibition games and start regular season play October 18 at home against Colgate. Findlay begins its season against Minnesota on October 12 at home. The remaining team, Niagara, will begin October 18 against Findlay at home.
