Warriors Post Victory In Final Exhibition The Wayne State University men's hockey team posted a 6-3 exhibition win over the USA Hockey National Team Development Program (Under-18) squad at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
Also lighting the lamp for WSU were Billy Collins, Dustin Kingston and Jack Redwood. Scoring for Team USA were Jacob Dowell, Chad Kolarik and Robbie Earl. Wayne State held a 35-27 advantage in shots on goal and both teams recorded two power-play goals. David Guerrera made 24 saves in the WSU cage, while Chris Holt (21 saves in 43:33) and Wylie Rogers (8 saves in 16:27) both manned the Under-18 net. Wayne State "officially" begins its regular season this weekend (Oct. 25-26) with a pair of home games against St. Lawrence University. Friday night's banner raising ceremony begins at 6:40 p.m. Face-off both nights at the Great Lakes Sports City Arena in Fraser is slated for 7:05 p.m. |
