Women Runners No. 15 In Latest Poll,
Men Drop Out

DETROIT, Mich. – The WSU women’s cross country team dropped one spot to No. 15 in the latest NCAA Division II coaches poll, released Sept. 23.

Despite placing third at the Midwest Collegiate Championships last weekend, the women fell behind Wisconsin-Parkside, who finished fifth at the event. The Warriors are ranked fourth in the Great Lakes Region.

On the men’s side, the team dropped out of the top 20 and fell from No. 2 in the region to sixth after their fifth place finish at the MCC.

The top team on both sides, Western State College (Colo.), remained the same.

Wayne State’s next competition is Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa.
